Thermoforming refers to a process where a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mould, and trimmed. This process has gone through a great development both in terms of process and raw material development. We are able to produce parts from starting sheet size up to 2×3 meters. The raw materials used are coextruded sheets of thermoplastic materials, most frequently ABS, ABS/ASA, ABS/PMMA, PC, PE in the desired color and surface graining, so painting is unnecessary.
